In recent some years, a studying tools of flow mechanics-CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) has been widely used in the field of fluid machine design, especially in the field of the optimization design of fluid machine and it has been a main means in turbine design. We can develop excellent turbine with better abilities by the combination of CFD method and model test technology, which has greatly promoted the development of turbine technique, shortened the period of turbine design, reduced cost. It can also predict abilities of turbine accurately, and improved the quality of turbine hydraulic design technology remarkably.In order to solve these difficulties which we will have when we do 3-D model in computer because of the complexity of the blade's shape. The new method of 3-D modeling of Francis turbine's blade is introduced in this article that is based on the 2-D wood form drawing of Francis turbine's blade, and use PRO/E to draw line from point, then draw surface from line, finally get body of the blade from surface. To increase accuracy of model, the inlet edge, upper and lower canopy of runner blade are modified by cutting. We get 3-D model of Francis turbine's blade truly which is showed in wood form drawing of Francis Turbine's Blade by this means. Accordingly we get further the model of Francis turbine. The PRO/E is adopted in 3-D modeling of Francis turbine's blade, we can save time and cost, and this method can establish slicking wood form drawing of turbine's blade, the CFD analysis of flow field in turbine and performance prediction of the turbine.The topic is aimed at water power resources exploitation of 30m hydraulic head, we have to develop a new hydraulic model of hydro turbine. Author chooses a turbine whose performance is better as initial turbine model in this hydraulic head, then remodel it. According to the design parameter, the writer chooses HL260 turbine. First the way of shorten aerofoil is used to remodel initial turbine model that can increase flow rate and delivered power of turbine. Then lessening unreasonable district of velocity and pressure spread, abating swirl of blade's working face in the method of adjusting inlet blade angle. This way can improve flow field in turbine, increase high pressure area of blade's working face, and the pressure difference of blade's making face and the back corresponding point is raised thereby. This is helpful to increase efficiency and delivered power of turbine. Finally we predict performance of the remodeled turbine by CFD analysis, and draw performance curve based on result of prediction. After anglicizing, we get a new turbine that has better performance than the old one.
