The heterogeneity existed in the engineering accumulation means that talus slope mechanical parameters not only have the property of spatial variations, but also means that the characteristics of the spatial variations are dependent on engineering accumulation themselves. So the classical statistics is not appropriately used to do the spatial variation analysis and the value estimation of the talus mechanical parameters. In the paper, Engineering background of the text is the deposit body located in front of Xiaowan dam on the left bank. Fistly, I analyzed and researched the spatial variations of the talus slope, some new views and methods are proposed in combining with genetic algorithm and entropy weight theory; Secondly, The implementation aspects of the method is also discussed along with monitoring data of the talus slope located in front of Xiaowan dam on the left bank to validate the proposed method. The results show that the method is of great practical value and is applied in Project. Through the research, some useful results are gained. They are:(1) Due to the uniqueness of talus slope, it is impossible to slove the spherical model Variational Function with the weighted polynomial regression. To solve this problem, The Genetic Algorithm is applied to fit the spherical model Variational Function. The results proved the method to be feasible, the fitting values is similar to the actual data and the errors is smaller.(2) Kriging estimative weight is a main application in spatial variations of geostatistics, but for many years, this method is not allowed for nonnegative constraint of weight. This not only exert negative effect on the development of the geostatistics, but also cause great errors, even mistakes. To solve this problem, of entropy weight theory is applied to improve it and the results calculated using monitoring data indicate that the method is feasible.(3) Applying the theory and method of the geostatistics, the directional synthetic variance index of the spatial variabilities of the parameters are present. We can use this index quantitative description of the directional variation.(4) Through the research of xiao wan talus slope, it's discovered that the displacement of slope can estimated with the help of the theory and method of Kriging. This method is very useful when there is not monitoring point or it is difficult to construct monitoring point. It not only can save a great deal of construction cost, but also is hardly restricted by geographic position.(5) The influences of the precipitation and the time factors on the displacement-speed of deformation are studied from relevance of information and transmission of information, Based on them, a mathematical relation of precipitation, time factors and displacement-speed of deformation are established.
