Masonry structure is a kind of age-old architecture structure and widely used in buildings. But the masonry structural shearing strength, lengthening strength and bending strength are very low owing to the material brittleness, so the aseismatic behavior of masonry building is lower, but China is a more earthquake country, along with the augment of the habitation years and the heighten of the aseismatic criterion, the aseismatic and compressive strengthening problem is very important.The strengthening technique of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP) is a kind of structure strengthening method arisen in several years. Because it has many advantages, such as light weight, high strength, convenient construction, excellent corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength and thin additive volume etc, which makes it regarded in masonry structure field by people recently after it is used maturely in the concrete structure field (especially adapting to immemorial buildings owing to thin additive volume), and some groping study has been done. But the theory isn't mature, and a great deal of fundamental study needs to be done to generalize it and establish technique regulation.This paper expatiates Chinese masonry structural actuality and existing reinforced methods,summarizes CFRP strengthening technique' study and applications actuality, and introduces the mechanics capability of CFRP and the adhesive. Then considering protecting immemorial buildings, through the experiment on the resistant to compression reinforcement of six low strength brick column by carbon fiber sheet under axial loads, the resistant to compression reinforcement effectiveness is studied, such characteristics as failure shape of the strengthened brick column , deformation , load bearing capacity and CFS's mechanics performance are generally analyzed, reinforcement of the different scheme is compared, and the factor on the increase of bearing capacity is discussed. Based on above analyses, the paper selecte the representative brick column to carry on the computation analysis using the ANSYS finite element model. It confirme the empirical datum reliability and propose that the destruction tendency of the brick column by CFRP has already developed by brittleness to the ductility direction under the load function. The test result indicates that the strengthening technique of CFS can reduce the weaken effect to masonry brick owing to windows or doors and can improve low strength masonry structural resistant to compression capability. The application foreground is amplitude in masonry structure.At last, this paper concludes the experiment generally and presents some distinctive advices for further researching on CFRP-reinforcement of masonry structure in the future. |
