Energy sources are the important physical elements in developing country economy and improving people's living level. In China, energy source is limited and bears the huge weight of population and environment. With the development of Chinese economy, the proportion of energy consumption in buildings in all social energy consumption grows quickly, the reproducible energy—solar energy can be used in buildings and resolve the problem of energy and environment in China. How to combine solar energy and buildings is the prime problem which this paper wants to resolve.In this paper, several kinds of solar air heating systems, Trombe wall, OM solar energy system and solar wall system are analyzed and corresponding design principles are summarized.From the point of view of the usage of solar air heating, a new kind of solar tube-air heater which can also be a decoration is designed based on the characters of solar air heating and an existing architecture's decorative component in china and other countries. The author carefully chooses and designs materials, heat absorbing coating and control system for this kind of solar collector and summarizes the collector's ratio and the formulae and computing methods of solar collect performance, and then presents an actual computing example. At the last part of this paper, with the example of a dwelling house and a small public building, the integrated design of this new kind of solar tube-air heating collector and buildings is presented.The design of the new kind of solar collector in this paper offers a new method to integrate solar air heating with buildings, which can improve indoor thermal comfort and reduce energy consumption in buildings and the pollution of environment.
