Cable-stayed bridge has become one kind of bridge types which develop faster and appear highly competitive in modern bridge engineering because of its advantages such as: better bearing capacity, reasonable mechanical systems and beauty shape etc. Larger span, more various and complicated types of the cable-stayed bridge, has brought some new subjects to design and construction. Taking Hebei street cable-stayed bridge as project background, this paper has a particular study to reasonable finished dead state and construction control.Basic calculation methods for reasonable cable tension under dead load are expounded and summarized. The standard of the reasonable finished dead state of HeBei Street bridge is determined. The model of structure analysis and optimization of cabel tensions is established. The comprehensive method that takes minimum bending energy method, stress balacing method together with influence matrix method is adopted to determine the rational cable tensions. Under these tensions, the bridge has good stress distribution, and the offsetting of the tower top is minor. The comprehensive method is clear in calculation and had specific objective, can avoid the limitation of only using a certain method.It need a series of construction procedures to realize the reasonable finished dead state. Different construction methods of the cable-stayed bridge and their application are introduced, and the analysis methods during construction are represented. By conbinating Hebei street bridge's peculiarities in design and site conditions, the construction scheme is established. Based on the construction stage of Hebei street bridge, the computing stages are divided. The cable tensions during construction are determized by the forward-calculation method, the result of analysis showed that the method is easy to apply and effective. The errors about cable forces of the completed bridge are adjusted by utilizing influence, Thus ensuring the completed bridge with high safety and durability.The construction error of cable-stayed bridge is analyzed. The influence of support rigidity, error of girder and tower weight and temperature are especially investigated. In addition, the influence of weld deformation and its control are discussed. Combined with the characteristics of Hebei street cable-stayed bridge, the issues deserving notive in the process of construction control are indicated, and the construction control process is established.
