The technology of heat transfer enhancement is the focus of the research in the field of technology and society industry all the time. Because it has many kinds of advantages such as enhancing ratio of heat transfer, reducing consuming of energy sources, reducing the volume of equipments. In particular, the technology of heat transfer enhancement grows fast now, because of the scarcity about energy sources. Although many kinds of technology of heat transfer enhancement had appeared, but the cost on the enhancement of heat transfer is that flow drag rises sharply. If take into account the heat transfer enhancement merely, except the flow drag increase, this kind of enhancement and optimize go along in the local, not the whole system. So, the compositive research of heat transfer enhancement and drag reduction is the certain choice about saving energy sources and also is the one of the direction on the saving energy sources technology?s development.By pass research deeply many years, special surface becomes a feasible way of heat transfer enhancement and drag reduction. It needs not to change the fluid?s character, can be applicable to wide area. Its structure is simple and cost is low relatively, can be widely used in the heat exchanger equipment daily.Riblets surface is set as a kind of special surface and put it on the bottom of the rectangular groove in the text. Set water as the flow medium, do the research on the characteristic of heat transfer enhancement and drag reduction.Firstly, use k -s model and large eddy simulation as the numerical computation method is employed to calculate the model. And compare the results with the stream rectangular groove?s calculated result. The analysis of heat transfer and flow is made to demonstrate.To evaluate the heat transfer enhancement and drag reduction performance of the riblets surface, a new evaluation criterion is proposed. Compare with the other evaluation criterion in existence, the new evaluation criterion is simply and practical with obvious physical meanings.According to the calculated result, an experiment on the convection heat transfer was made to verify the result of numerical computation. And the experiment result testified numerical computation and analysis are reasonable.
