As the rapid development of Pipeline Transportation Networks in China, the leakage of pipeline has become a more and more serious problem. And among the causes of leakage, it's the "Third Party Damage on Pipeline" that mostly happens. To secure the safe running of pipeline network in oil field, monitoring this kind of damage effectively has been crucial. In this situation, our group started research in cooperation with Dagang Oil Field.This research project started with a self-developed Audio Sensor, after investigation, our group suggested an overall plan to monitor"Third Party Damage on Pipeline". The fundamental of this plan is: as the happening of Third Party Damage on Pipeline, there would be some"Special Audio Signals"appearing within pipeline, and these audio signals could transmit far away via medium in pipeline. If the"Special Audio Signals"in pipeline could be detected, it equals the detection of damage behaviors. This"Monitoring System"has the possibility of sending out alarm before the leakage of pipeline, comparing to most pipeline leakage detecting systems which target the phenomenon of leakage, not damage behaviors, this is a creative idea.The work of this paper is designing and realizing the hardware platform of the above"Monitoring System", including circuit and related programs. Based on DSP technology and the idea of Audio Identification, the hardware platform adopts a structure which features for DSP+CPLD formed low-position computer and PC formed high-position computer. The low-position computer finishes high-speed data acquisition of Audio Sensor and real-time processing, while the high-position computer is in charge of message recording and overall control.The completion of works mentioned in this paper means the core functions of this"Monitoring System"has been achieved. The structure of hardware and software has been set up. The following works will be improving and testing some parts of the circuit, algorithm and user interface.
