In recent decades, along with the development of road transportation rapidly, the scale of road tunnel construction is larger and larger. The road tunnel comes forward in great numbers, brought a new opportunity and challenges for technical development of tunnel nowadays.In numerous still need solve or perfect tunnel technique, the Stability of mass rock is one of the important topics attented by all engineering research, design and construction personnels for a long time. While there is a comprehensive description of the stability of the mass rock in the current tunnel design code, the underground mass rock stability law is extremely complicated especially about classâ…¢,â…£andâ…¤surrounding rock and the stability law in the tunnel code describes the parallel simplicity. Therefore it is necessary to have a more detailed study of the stability in mass rock.This thesis has a more detailed comprehensive study on the stability of mass rock. This thesis on the study is reflected in the following aspects:1. Based on the code for design of highway tunnel and united surrounding rock classification table, the integrality degree table of rock mass and the peak strength table of the shearing of joints, the thesis has built unified calculation combination. After each combination of classâ…¢,â…£andâ…¤surrounding mass rock is computed by Finite Joint Element Method, the law between surrounding rock span and ability has come out. At the same time the corresponding relation has been established between each surronding rock index combination and various rock stability classification.2. The stability law of surronding mass rock under different depths and different circumstances groundwater has carried out in the thesis by Discrete Element Method. The law of span stability of classâ…£surrounding mass rock in different surrounding rocks has come out.This thesis further improve the description of the stability in current code by the study on stability of classâ…¢,â…£andâ…¤surrounding mass rock and provide a more detailed guidance significance on the design and construction.
