With the development of science and technology, mechanical workout, precision measuring technique, and nanometer technique, encounter the thermal deformation issue, it has prevent these fields from improving accuracy. Therefore, it has great significance to research on the thermal deformation, obtained lots of attention in recent 20 years. Base on the previous thermal deformation production, the paper makes a further study on the deformation of heated mechanical part. Aiming at the deficiency of existing thermal deformation measurement methods, a new method-laser speckle pattern interferometry will be discussed in this paper. The method has the merit of full-field, non-contact, high precision, high sensitivity, real time and so on, which has been widely applied to dynamic and static measurement, such as measuring roughness concentration, displacement, deformation and nondestructive examination (NDE). Laser speckle interferometry has good application foreground on measurement, and is one of current international popular research subjects. In this paper, thermal deformation and stress of mechanical part were studied by both experimental and numerical methods. Firstly, ANSYS Finite Element (FE) software was employed to simulate the thermal deformation and stress from room-temperature to 100℃for the part. Then, with optics statistics theory, lucubrate on procreant mechanism and physics characteristics of laser speckle, set up the mathematical model and build the experiment platform. Laser speckle interferometry was used as the experimental methods to test out-plane and in-plane thermal deformation of the part from room-temperature to 100℃, the gathered image is processed by Matlab software. The results of experiments were in good agreement with those of inductance measurement method. It showed that laser speckle interferometry is a feasible and effective method, deserved to be further researched on. According to the method with experimental results, some new ideas are introduced. The paper is of importance to later research on thermal deformation measurement by laser speckle interferometry...
