With the outburst of the energy crisis in the seventies,people paid attention to the economy of the engine more and more,and the enhancement of the environmental consciousness of various countries day by day.In order to reduce the air pollution,the discharge performance of the engine obtains higher and higher attention.Inlet port, as a important part of inter-combustion,affect the volume efficiency and have a direct- influence later period's burning quality and emission production to a certain degree.So,the research about inlet port may enhance internal combustion engine own performance,on the one hand is also to the environmental protection need.But as a result of inlet port own complexity,and traditional research technique blindness and limitation,therefore has shortcomings of the design development cycle long,to consume and so on.The computer technology in the development,the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)present oneself becomes solves each kind of fluid flow and the heat conduction problem powerful tool.Adds the powerful computers function in the actual internal combustion engine studies this carrier,may enable the research to have characteristic of the designed cost to be low,cyclical short.The intake manifold takes an intake system's part,also surely has certain rule to volume efficiency's influence.This article take 4110 diesel engine intake system's intake manifold as the main object of study,uses the CFD software study this diesel engine's in intake manifold air backflow process,the aim is discusses the intake manifold backflow to the volume efficiency influence rule,and enhances the intern-combustion engine performance,providing the reference for the related research.This article fast reviewed in the internal combustion engine to the inlet port research development and the present situation,then carry on the simple introduction to the CFD elementary knowledge and the CFD software FLUENT foundation. Through to FLUENT the computation process and boundary condition's introduction, determined that under needs to achieve the research aim the approximate procedure. According to the procedure and the reverse-engineering,cloud of points chart of intake model is obtained by three coordinate measurement machine,three dimensional model of the diesel engine air intake is established by means of software UG.Rebuild the hydrodynamic model in FLUENT,then through the experiment in 4110 diesel engine,gaining the data of boundary condition(including wall surface temperature,pressure import change rule,pressure export change rule and so on)and the real mass flow and the volume efficiency which are the needs for the comparative trial real value.Through a series of loading and iterative computation,the simulation obtained under each different engine speed(7 engine speeds in all)in the situation mass flow and the volume efficiency.After computed result and test result contrast, may see the tendency tallies.The result indicated that it is feasible to obtain intake port three dimensional model by means of reverse engineering method.Taking the CFD software to intake flow calculates its precision is acceptable.Finally base on the confirmation to the model precision,the article has carried on the discussion to intake manifold's some backflow rule and the parameter.At the end of article,make a summary,point out some shortage,make a expectation to the next research work.
