Viscoelastic Damper(called VED) which is made of Viscoelastic Materia(called VEM) is a kind of very effective energy dissipation and vibration-absorption passive control device in the engineering practice.It can reach the purpose of reducing the response of seismic or wind vibration.,through increasing the damp of structure and dissipating the energy of structure. The method of using viscoelastic dampers into passive control on structure has been applied in more and more structure design, because of the dampers' effectiveness, economy and no longer needed to be repaired.after the installation.This paper analyses VED's influence of vibration control on the steel-truss TV-tower structure,through selecting the calculation model of VED and the seismogram, seting up the models of without VED and with VED,using the VED to analyse the earthquake-resistant design of the steel-truss TV-tower structure,at the same time with the numeric analysis to the installation number and installation position. Through comparison and analysis,the influence of varied installation position to the vibration-absorptive effect of VED is drawed,and some valuable conclusions and suggestions to the structure earthquake resistant design are obtained.This paper future analyses the influence of VED's parametric variation to the effect of structure vibration control,importantly analysing the influence of the parameter-temperature to VED's performance and the effect of structure earthquake-resistant. According to the experiment data and theoretical analysis, the calculation formula of VED's rigidity and damp which can reflect the changes in temperature is proposed,and it is used in the earthquake resistant analysis on the steel-truss TV-tower.Though numerical calculation,analysing the vibration-absorptive effect of VED on the condition of varied temperature ,and providing the theoretical foundation for future projects Application.
