Chenlu Ceramic Kiln area is the only left kiln area which is still under production in Yaozhou Kiln system. As part of the Yaozhou Kiln Relics, it is on the list of National Cultural Heritage Conservation Units. And the traditional ceramic articrafts of Chenlu has also been included as an intangible national cultural heritage. Meanwhile, Chenlu is chosen as national cultural and historical town due to its rich and unique historical remains and environment.The construction of Chenlu Ceramics Museum is a branch of Chenlu Ceramics Cultural Heritage Conservation Projects and the most important one under the consideration recently. As a precedent research, the essay will set an example for the renovation and conservation projects in Chenlu.On the basis of numerous theoretical and practical researches, the paper proposes the new notion for Chenlu Ceramic Museum through the analysis of museum construction trend and the eight-kiln system. It carries out the mapping, research and evaluation of the museum and its old buildings. Meanwhile, the paper makes a deep analysis of the surroundings of Chenlu, its deserted old buildings and some related history. Under the guidance of regional design conception and recycle of the deserted old buildings, the paper discusses the possibility that some industrial construction can be reused after certain renovation. Hence, it has explored the design based on related research and analysis.
