Our country is a mountainous one which has a large number of mountain scenic spots. Path is the important component and framework of mountain scenic spots, therefore the research on path has an instructive and practical effect on the construction of mountain scenic spots.The paper is divided into two parts. The first part refers to theory study, through the analysis and research for physiographic space of mountain scenic spots and visual space, in combination with the designing theory of path, the paper summarizes path of pedestrianways, motorways and tramways, as well as the difference between arrangement and path design among the three kinds of ways. The second part refers to the method of case analysis and comparativeness to choose Huashan, Taishan and Wudangshan to discuss the instructive effect on path arrangement, design and space sequence establishment. Low mountain scenic spots such as Shanxi, Heshun Beidinao resort and Lou Guantai Liandanfeng are used to design path on the theoretical basis of path.The main research achievements of the paper:(1)On the basis of physiographic space, in combination with visual sense, the paper classifies path of mountain scenic spots and put forward the characteristics of pedestrianways, motorways and tramways.(2)The paper puts forward the designing principle and methods, as well as space sequence mode of pedestrianways, motorways and tramways path for mountain scenic spots.(3)Through case analysis research, the paper devises the designing method and experience for path, choosing line arrangement and space sequence organization and summarizes the fact that the characteristics of path of mountain scenic spots is visiting appreciation and mountain climbing.(4)Owing to the difference among path type such as pedestrianways, motorways and tramways, based on the characteristics of different path, path arrangement and designing method should be accurate. Path type for pedestrianways are in large number with the richest designing methods. While motorways and tramways are limited by engineering technology because of path space type, the designing method for path is single.
