The ultrasound imaging system is safe, injury free; and its superiority also consists in selecting multiplicity diagnosis parameters and realizing the project flexibility. With the development of Ultrasound theory and technology, ultrasound devices are updating increasingly. Ultrasound Diagnoses has become an important means of forecast, pre-diagnoses and post-diagnoses the diseases.The thesis firstly describes the ultrasound wave, a brief history of the development of the ultrasound and the ultrasound imaging system. Then the thesis depicts the basic physics foundation of the ultrasound, describes some main parameters to implement an ultrasound imaging system such as dynamic rage and the resolution of the system. On the next part, the dissertation describes the design and the implementation of the conventional single pulsed digital ultrasound imaging system by dividing the whole system into several functional subsystems. A concept of the Time Bandwidth Product is proposed. And by using the Ambiguity Function, the dissertation discussed the selection of the code. Finally, a simulation program of code excitation ultrasound system is designed and leads to the result that a code with high Time Bandwidth Product would greatly enhance the quality of image for the greatly increasing of the Signal to Noise Ratio of the digital ultrasound imaging system, which is in the end proved by the emulated kidney image.
