Preliminary Research On Conservation Of Historical Landscape In Universities In Beijing

Through the preliminary research on the conservation of historical landscape in universities in Beijing, this paper on one hand aims to give analysis and reflection on status quo of historical landscape, on the other hand, to propose a reasonable evaluation system for historical landscape conservation so as to seek effective conservation strategy to maximize its historical connotation and vitality on the basis of preserving the historical monuments, finally make it contribute to the overall campus landscape. This research is divided into four parts.The first part is historical study. In this part, this paper mainly studies the related historical background including the campus landscape development and overview of conservation for historical landscape in order to understand the relevant study both at home and abroad and gives theoretical support for this research.The second part is the current study of Conservation of Historical Landscape. First, this paper gives analysis of the development and current condition of universities in Beijing, in the following part, this paper gives a detailed investigation and analysis on the existing condition of historical landscape in universities in Beijing.The third part is the evaluation for historical landscape in universities in Beijing. Firstly this paper evaluates the general value of historical landscape in universities in Beijing, and then based on individual evaluation, a evaluation system is proposed. In this part, Beijing University and Tsinghua University's historical landscape are given as examples to do the individual evaluation.The last part is about conservation strategy. The paper gives the general and individual conservation strategy respectively to protect historical landscape in universities in Beijing.
