Interlocking system is the critical basic component which can ensure the traveling safety and improve the transportation efficiency. The interlocking software is the key to ensure the system safety. With the rapid development of the urban rail transportation, new requests for technique and function have been brought out to the interlocking software. The traditional software developing method has its drawbacks on flexibility, maintainability, safety and reliability. Object-oriented method becomes the new technique of the software engineering which improves safety and reliability greatly. Developing interlocking software based on the Object-oriented method is very important for realistic, and is a subject which deserves research.Based on the utilization and implement of the urban rail interlocking system, with the concept of software engineering, this paper has done researches and designing as follows.1. This paper studies the Object-oriented software developing method deeply, and analyzes the superiority of interlocking system software used with this method.3. Based on the Object-oriented software developing method, this paper designs the interlocking software with these steps: demand analysis, establishment of object model, designing of system structure and data structure.4. The urban rail interlocking software with user interface model, interlocking model and simulation model, which are successfully developed with Visual C++ and C++ language, is able to provide basic function like route process, switch operation and so on.According to the researches, it is declared that computer interlocking software developed with the Object-oriented method is easy to encapsulate and maintain, and also has good reusability, quality and efficiency, and satisfies the requirement of the urban rail interlocking system's development.
