With the development of the society, CBTC (Communication Based Train Control), characterized by high speed and high density, has gradually become the first choice for signal system of urban mass transit. However, the CBTC technology has been monopolized by foreign manufacturers until present and it severely limits the development of urban mass transit in China. Therefore, it is urgent and necessary to research and develop CBTC system in engineering standard with our own full proprietary intellectual property rights. During the R&D, the safety design of the system can be guaranteed by the administration of certain safety-verification organization. For the quality of the equipment, it should be considered from the perspective of test. The purpose of CBTC test platform is to ensure the equipment quality, mainly the software, and shorten the R&D period under the testing.Based on the research on the third-party test platform for the present railway signal system, this paper introduces the idea for software testing engineering, completes the architecture design of the CBTC test platform, explains the principle of the CBTC test platform and discusses some related key questions.It starts with the way of generation and description for testing case according to Subset076, shows the algorithm of test sequence generation in two different phases, which are the algorithm of test sequence generation for verification and the algorithm of test sequence generation for debugging, basically solves the planning of test sequence.Then, it focuses on the defect tracking technique and defect analysis, shows the importance of defect tracking and the necessity of defect tracking management tool for us. Further more, it introduces some application of defect analysis, such as helping with the management of test progress and the adjustment of test strategy, puts forward the fuzzy reasoning algorithm of the defect causes on the basis of defect description and finally builds the defect tracking management tool for CBTC test platform.This study has confirmed the accuracy of test sequence generation tool and the defect tracking management tool with the example, has established the foundation of the realization for the CBTC test platform.
