With the rapid development of economy in China, vehicle volume is increasing heavily. Therefore, the consequent traffic problems of traffic congestion, traffic accidents and environment pollution become a headache of city managers. Intersection as the hinge of city traffic system, vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles join together in the intersection. Because the direction of vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles are different, there are many traffic interferences and the traffic conflicts in the intersections, so that it easily results in traffic accident. In order to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents, improve the intersection mixed traffic running order and the efficiency of the current vehicles, thesis investigates the causes of urban traffic congestion and solutions. On the basis of the above, the dissertation focuses on the study of urban mixed traffic conflict probability problem at signalized intersection. There mainly works in this paper:â‘ This dissertation researches on mixed traffic at urban signalized intersections. For the study of the mixed traffic conflict, firstly, this dissertation starts from the actualities of the domestic and overseas researches. It emphasizes the basic theoretical knowledge in this paper. The individual characteristics of mixed traffic flow at urban signalized intersections, traffic conflict technique and analysis of the intersection conflict are described.â‘¡The dissertation selects a typical mixed traffic intersection as the research object to introduce the content of data collection and the adopted method of data investigation. The data of investigation includes the intersection geometric parameters, signal timing, traffic composition of motor vehicles at all imports intersection, flow direction and flow capacity of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrian.â‘¢The problem of the intersection traffic conflict probability is mainly studied in this dissertation. According to the respective flow of intersection mixed traffic and probability theory, the dissertation establishes a model of the mixed traffic conflict probability at intersections. This model is designed to study on the conflict types between motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles, motor vehicles and pedestrian at the intersections. In dissertation, EXCEL is used to establish the relationship between reach probability and conflict probability, mixed volume and conflict probability; SPSS is used to analyze significance between reach probability and conflict probability, mixed volume and conflict probability.â‘£According to the analysis of the conflict intersection, the dissertation proposes the conflict solution about the motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles, motor vehicles and pedestrian. Based on the existent problems for mixed traffic conflict in the typical intersection, the improvement measures are put forward.
