Frequency Hopping (FH) has the anti-disturbance,anti-noise and anti-attenuation characteristics,lower bit error rate and multi-user function.As the power line is a hostile environment for carrier signals,these advantages make FH to be use in power line carrier communication. In this paper,the application of the Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) Communication Techniques in the PLC is researched chiefly. First, this paper deeply discusses the impedance,attenuation,noise and disturbance characteristics of the power line and give several communication policies.Then the theory,advantages,implement method and characteristics of FH are deeply discussed.Third,The simulation model of AFH is designed in MATLAB.In this model, key technologies such as frequency hopping sequences,frequency synthesizing method,synchronization of FH and link quality analysis are researched.Finally,a AFH communication scheme for reliable power line has been designed.
