Along with the rapid development of the large-span space structure, the research field of multi-support seismic response analysis for the structure has increasingly been provoking highly attention by researchers and engineers. It has important effect on the seismic responses of upper structure to establish the reasonable seismic input model. Based on publications from domestic and abroad, the seismic response analysis for main building of Shanghai South Railway Station, which is a large-span space structure, has been researched by using direct finite element method (FEM). The main contents in this thesis are listed as follows:1. The feasibility and superiority of using one-dimensional finite element method (FEM) proposed in this paper to calculate the seismic response of the transversely isotropic soils is discussed.2. In allusion to the site of Shanghai south railway station, The soils seismic response have been calculated by both one-dimensional and twp-dimensional finite element methods. The results indicate that it is more reasonable to solve the twp-dimensional actual site seismic response by using the input model of traveling wave along bedrock sueface as the way of input load.3. Using different seismic input model to the upper stature seismic response of Shanghai South Railway Station is analyzed,and different seismic response results in different input case are obtained. Finally, the result of different factors on the impact of this difference are summed up.
