The basic theory on static and dynamic analysis of complex tall buildings with slant columns is firstly expounded. Combined finite element method based on shell element theory as well as the establishment of entire three-dimensional spatial dynamic analysis model are emphasis on. Afterwards the article elaborated the theories of seismic analysis in structures, including the direct integration method, mode superposition method, mode superposition response spectrum analysis method, timehistory analysis method, as well as the calculation method of structure frequency and modes.According to the theories presented above, this paper has carried on the structure form selection, scheme adjustment and the static and dynamic analysis of a Hyatt Regency tower in Zhejiang Province. Firstly, the spatial model of the structrue was established by ETABS. By multiple adjustment works and multiple calculations, the scheme of unidirection slant column subjected the giant floor load was denied. Finally the herringbone bracing structure scheme was adopted. Then the response spectrum analysis and the elastic timehistory analysis of this structure were carried on. At last, a series of special issues was analyzed one by one, including the enhancement measures of slanting columns, the influence of floor with big openings on the main structure, long overhanging component, as well as dimension control of the decoration floor on the roof. This article has obtained a series of conclusion of this project, these conclusions have the guiding sense to this project design, also has certain reference value to the static and dynamic analysis of slanting frame structure with slanting columns. In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
