The service life of our country's highways has been greatly shortened (compared with designed number of years) with the rapid economical development , the rapid growth of the volume of traffic and freight transport and overloaded vehicles getting more and more in addition . So rebuilding and overhauling of highways are getting more and more frequent and more and more wastes of LCAC (concrete formed by the mixture of lime , coal ashes and cobbles) have come into being . The important and newer problem confronting people in the industry is how to make rational use of the wastes and recycle the wastes in an economical and environment-protecting way . In combination with the 10-km-rebuilding of the Linqing-to-Boping highways (S257 , grade 2) and by consulting the only few pieces of material , the author has studied a lot about recycling wastes and has drawn better results . The difficult problem , thereby , is solved .Chapter 1 . Introducing the research aim of the paper , current situation in China and research content .Chapter 2 . Discussing performances of physical mechanics of the wastes concerned . We layed stress on making crushing-value experiments and sieving experiments . The results showed the mechanics index satisfied the standard demand . After stabilizing the wastes with different dosages of cement , the author determined the press strength and splitting strength and the relevant numerical value also satisfied the demand of construction standard . Hence the results proves that wastes of LCAC can be fully recycled .Chapter 3 . According to the design principle of flexible pavement , calculating the pavement structure made from wastes of LCAC being the base layer (bottom base layer) is up to technical criteria concerned .Chapter 4 . In combination with the rebuilding project , first introducing the methods of digging and clearing away , transporting and processing of wastes of LCAC , then designing the mixture proportion and introducing the working procedure of mixing , transporting , spreading and paving , pressing solid and curing . Through inspecting shaped pavement the author found the result was excellent . At last the author put forward the problems that needed attention . Recycling wastes of LCAC was proved in practice to be completely feasible .Chapter 5 . Evaluating recycling wastes of LCAC in an economical way and in a social benefit's way . Practice proves that this programme can not only cut down funds , reduce project costs but also be advantageous to environmental protection , especially be of full importance to protection of mine resources . As to regions lacking rock resources like Liaocheng the programme will yield more obvious economical benefit .Chapter 6 . Summing up the whole paper and posing perfect suggestions and applicable range so that the problem can play a better role .
