Abnormal vibration and noise from the out-door box of air conditioner may cause structure damage and noise pollution, so the study on reducing the box's vibration is very necessary. Reasonable design of the box's structure is important. In order to do the job will and efficiently, we should do some study on the mechanical and dynamics properties of the out-door box. The box structure is built up by different plates, and the plates are installed together by bolted and hooked joints. So the study of the box structure can base on the study of plate structures having bolted and hooked joints.This study mainly including two parts work:1. The goal is to determine the influences of design variables, including thickness of plate, location of hooked joints and shape of hooks on mechanical and dynamics properties of thin plates connected by bolted and hooked joints. This work can conduct the design of the box structures.Experiment method is mainly used in this study. For the design parameters have three factors and three levels, design L9 orthogonal array for them. The three factors are thickness of plate, pitch of hooked joints and angle of hooks. Do orthogonal analysis of test results to determine the influences of these design parameters.2. Develop simulation technology of mechanical properties of plate structures having bolted and hooked joints. The key job is simulation the hooked joints. The finite element model of hooked joint should be corrected as the joint state. The use of FEM can improve the efficiency of the design.Compare results of simulation and test to check the finite element model of plate structures having bolted and hooked joints. Then the reasonable simulation method can be used in further study of the simulation of box.At last, do some study on the non-linear factor of plate structures having bolted and hooked joints, which is ignored in former research.
