IG-541 Fire-Extinguishing System is one of Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems and it's widely used at present. The key technology of this system is flow calculation. However there isn't a scientific and exact method for flow calculation. It limits IG-541 system to be widely used.In this thesis, the flow calculation of IG-541 pipe system is researched by means of the knowledge of gas dynamics, thermodynamics and thermodynamics .etc. The mathematical models of the pipeline system's design and calculation are researched, and then the design software of IG-541 extinguishing system is developed. IG-541 fire extinguishing laboratory and related experiments data acquisition system are established. the calculation of the theoretical model is corrected based on the experimental study. A number of the ultimate fire extinguishing test shows, the results of the software design and calculation are accurate. And all the parameters are in the law of the state.In chapter 1, the definition, extinguishing mechanism& characters and the background of application are introduced comprehensively. The current research status, the research aim and significance are summarized. Also the major topics of study as well as the technical difficulties are described.The second chapter introduces the usual IG-541 system design & calculation method. This method is incorrect. So a dynamic design method is brought forward. Calculation steps, the method of calculating parameters of pipeline system and its mathematical model and algorithms are elaborated.In chapter 3, the IG-541 system design software is developed based on the Visual C+ + development platform. Details of the functions and the main interface of the software are introduced. The implementation process including key data structure and key algorithm is expounded.In chapter 4, the equivalent length measurement systems, the IG-541 extinguishing laboratory and its corresponding data acquisition system are established. The details of the layout of pipelines, the experiment program, the hardware and software design of acquisition system are elaborated.In chapter 5, series of IG-541 suppression and IG-541 gas sprayed out tests are carried out. The gas pressure of each node is studied. How the decompression orifice aperture size influence the IG-541 gas jetting is researched. The accuracy of calculation software is certificated.At last ,some conclusions are given and some new views are put forward in the future.
