| The reservoir's capability of storing floodwater is an important evidence in leader's decision to fight a flood, therefore rapidly and exactly observing the change of the reservoir's capacity looks like special important. General hydrology information collecting way can't satisfy the requirement of present hydropower already, mostly it represents in inaccuracy and unreal time. It enhances inconvenience about flood analysis and decision-making to fight against flood, makes the results inaccurate and postposition, also, the reservoir's dynamic capacity can't ignore in period of flood. The real time and standard real time character of remote sensing can solve the problem effectively. So adopting remote sensing to measure the reservoir's dynamic capacity has natural advantage. Using remote sensing image to measure the reservoir's dynamic capacity is a new approach to reveal hydrology information, and it is a new way to observe the dynamic evolvement process of the reservoir. In this paper, first introduces the purpose, signification and general situation home and abroad of dynamic reservoir capacity research. Second particular introduces and contrasts the difference between in existence approach and this paper's research. In the chapter 3, the development and characteristic of TM image and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) is explained generally. In following chapter, how to measure backwater curve using remote sensing and DEM is particular expounded, including revise the backwater curve using water level data which is measured by hydrology station. Thenceforth, the capacity of reservoir is calculated, including surface pixel statistic, cuniform cubage calculation and river groove capacity calculation etc, at the same time, result analysis is completed. Finally entire paper is induced and concluded, mention of disadvantage and some places that need improved on, the prospect of development is given out. |
