The modern power system is coming into an age of big scale,high voltage, and large capacity. The requirement of system's calculation and analysis for stability become higher. The excitation system plays a very important role in power system stability controlling, but, we are always lack of parameters accorded with real power system while simulating. It's necessary to implement parameter identify test on excitation and establish the excitation system model library in the power system simulation softwares. The people who in charge of the power network dispatching can use the simulation software with the library to do a precisely stability analyze.Test design is an important content of system identification. The input and output data obtained by test is the base of identification. The thesis studied the test method of excitation system parameter identify based on real excitation system. The content of the thesis is as follow:The method of test signal's choice and design is illuminated. The characteristic, produce method and parameter design of PRBS is discussed.Resistance based signal coupling method is proposed, and an equipment for test based on this method is developed to solve the parameter identification for generator excitation system without test signal input end.The application of Resistance based signal coupling method is introduced particularly by step disturbance in time domain and PRBS disturbance in frequency domain.The parameters identified are used to simulate in BPA. simulation results show the efficiency of the test design.
