As the heavily load and rapid growth of railway, the problem of rail friction and safety issue are more evident, as a result, it becomes more urgent to improve rolling stocks curve negotiation performance.Raising the normal rolling stock bogie's lateral stability is contradictory to improving its curve negotiation performance, but radial bogie solves this problem well.It can not only promise the stability of straight line function, reduce the flange rim rubbing and the lateral force, lower specific fuel consumption, and also satisfy the requirements of both the curve negotiation and the lateral stability, help to enhance the speed and cling property of wheel and rail when passing the curve. In a word, radial bogie is the most promising structural shape in modern rolling stock bogie.HTCR rolling stock radial bogie is a kind of modern bogie adopted in American diesel locomotive.This bogie is one of the most successful applied radial bogie, it has fine curve negotiation, cling property and straight line stability.HTCR is also named three-axle radial bogie, and we also use three-axle bogie in diesel locomotive, so HTCR radial truck structural shape has an important reference value to our radial bogie reform.This paper raises issue of reforming our DF8B rolling stock's traditional bogie, on a basis of the digesting and absorbing American HTCR radial bogie.It complete the design of three-axle truck in diesel locomotive DF8B, better a list of suspension structure, optimum design of the crossbeam, and select durable whole hoop wheel.After we experimented on the radial bogie successfully, the test data manifests: when the locomotive passes the curve of radius at 300 meters at the same speed, the locomotive radial bogie front wheel's angle is 0.234°, while the traditional bogie's is 0.598°;when the locomotive's radial speed is 90km/h at 300 meters radius, the external wheel force is 52.3KN, the internal wheel force is 44.1KN; when the traditional bogie's speed is 78km/h,both the external and internal wheel have a force at 70.15kN;Each million kilometers at HuHang railway line, the flange rim consumption of the radial bogie is 0.0165mm, the part of the wheel consumption is 1.7mm, while the traditional bogie's consumption is 0.2mm, and the part of the wheel consumption is 2.2mm.All the data above shows that, locomotive radial bogie has a good technical property.The new locomotive DF8B radial bogie has fine load, guidance, traction, break ability and operation quality.The design of bogie meets the previous design requirements.The research result above is of great practical significance to raise the speed and the economic benefit of our railway.
