Portal crane, which is an important and representative rotation type of rail operating cranes, is widely used in the mechanized loading and unloading in the port. It is an indispensable equipment to achieve mechanization of production. It is pith of design of portal cranes to guarantee the stability of four-link structure and components. Conception of stability is that: a board received the pressure which is on the board of plane and parallel to it. The pressure bends the board and weakens its carrying capacity gradually. All redistribute the stress and result in overall damage.Based on the cooperative project between the Institute of Process Equipment and Control Engineering in Zhejiang University and Shanghai Port Co.Ltd, "Portal Crane Analysis System of Four-link Structure", this dissertation explores the system of load calculation and stability analysis. The main content of the dissertation is present as follows:Summarized the status of stability both at home and abroad and indicated that load calculation plays an important role in the analysis of stability. Redefined the load class, summed up the experience method, optimized the arithmetic of transcendental equation and presented an approximate calculation formula.Compared the calculation methods of dynamic hoisting load coefficient in some main design standards of cranes nowadays around the world. Discussed the model of calculation and gave a suggestion to the design criterion of Shanghai Port Co.Ltd.Summed up the means of total stability calculation and factors for four-link structure. Established the analysis model of arm support, which treated the stress as target value and step extent and number of cells as restriction function. Through the model we can find out the most dangerous situation and get some rules of stress diversification. Validated the veracity of compact formula through the contrast of result.Summed up the means of local stability calculation and factors. In order to avoid flections, this dissertation gave an optimized idea to build a motherboard model and predigest to count grid.
