The structural destroys and function faults appears in the concrete pavements have affected the quality of the roads seriously. More and more maintenance works costs are needed year after year. Large amount of cement pavement's are facing to be overhauled or rebuilt. The study of cement pavement's rehabitation and maintain rules is of great value in engineering. Combining theoretic analysis and project practice, this item was studied systematically. Because the Large Stone asphalt Mixes(LSM),has the good properties of eliminating the reflect crack and resistance rut ,it can effectively solve these problems.This paper based on the study of Yuanda highway rehabilitation, aim the difficulty of LSM overlay on ailing portland cement concrete(PCC) pavement. After the assessment of the old cement concrete,according to its outcome,corresponding repair schemes or compile corresponding maintain plans are constituted. The paper analyzes in theory the formed mechanism of reflecting crack of bituminous paving course on cement concrete pavement. It also calculates the stress and displacement of bituminous paving course on the cement concrete pavement by finite element method and ANSYS and Origin.Through the test it tests and verifies the correctness of theory analysis and calculation. The beams on elastic foundation were calculated by means of Laplace's integral transformation. The unitized formulas of benoling deflection, shere force and bending moment of beams with limited length were obtained. To counter the formed mechanism of reflecting crack, the paper puts forward the prevention measures forreflecting crack on the bituminous paving course.Based on researches on LSM home and abroad, the paper studies the pavement performance of LSM. The Paper studies LSM high temperature stability by wheel track test,tests show the rutting resistance of LSM is far great than that of the normal HMA. Besides, the aggregate gradation of LSM and skeleton-compact structure is vital to the rutting resistance. Also the paper studies LSM water stability by the water submerged large Scale Marshall and the freeze-thraw test, tests show the water damage resistance of LSM is well.We sincerely hope the achievements of this research can be popularized and applied in settling the destruction of high temperature rutting and the inadequate durability.
