Along with the flourishing development of transport industry, large bridges above sea and river are increasing. Meanwhile, ships have been sent to large-scale, high-speed development, the collision catastrophic accidents happen more frequently and bring enormous economic losses and lives losing. In recent years, mechanism of ship-bridge collisions and analysis of anti-collision equipment are paid attention to in the world.The collision between ship and anti-collision equipment is a complicated non-linear dynamic response process under extreme large load in a very short time. Because of the complicacy and the uncertain factors in collision process,it is nearly impossible to make theoretic analysis by building up an accurate mathematic model. Therefore, numerical simulation by finite element analyses will play a more and more important role in the analysis of collision problems between ship and bridge or equipment for anti-collision.Based on summarizing ship-bridge collision research production, analyzing characteristic of anti-collision equipment, discussing ship-bridge collision mechanism, anti-collision equipment of steel pipe truss supported by angle steel is designed for 9# pier of Lei-de bridge according to its characteristic of structure and navigation. Based on the ANSYS/ LS-DYNA nonlinear FEM program, nonlinear FEM with momentary display function is applied to establishing the collision model of ship-bridge with anti-collision equipment and doing simulation analysis. The anti-collision capability of anti-collision equipment and pier are analyzed as well as parameter analysis. Some measures are proposed about improving struture capability of anti-collision and effect of absorbing energy. This program has such features:1. Development of ship-bridge collision mechanism is summarized. These mechanisms are compared and analyzed.2. Design request and type are summarized about anti-collision equipment. Work theory and using range are introduced.Anti-collision Equipment is designed for 9# pier of Lei-de bridge.3. Fundamental theory and pivotal technology are discussed in simulation analysis of ship-bridge collision. Explicit time integral, material dynamic speciality, hourglassing mode, contact etc are technically researched.4. Based on the explicit non-linear finite element method, simulation analysis of the collision model of ship-bridge with anti-collision equipment is done triumphantly.Damage, colliding force, energy, distortion and stress in bridge and anti-collision equipment are reviewed. 5. The parameter analysis of anti-collision equipment and pier is done. As the sizes of steel pipe and angle steel change in the certain range, the absorbing energy of steel pipe and angle steel, relationship between depth of collision and kinetic energy of ship, relationship between average colliding force and kinetic energy of ship are aquired. As the colliding velocity changes in the certain range, the effect of the absorbing energy of anti-collision equipment, depth of collision, colliding force are aquired.Some measures are proposed about improving struture capability of anti-collision and effect of absorbing energy.
