The seepage through the fractured rock and the numerical analysis of stress coupling between the seepage and fractured rocks in tunnel are the present hot research in the geotechnical circle. In the newly-built tunnel excavation, the change in the underground seepage field and the stress field is quite complex. Hence it is extremely significant to conduct real simulation of these processes from a practical engineering point of view. The research on these problems can contribute to a better understanding of the theoretical basis for the analysis on stability of the tunnel excavation, particularly for the research on waterproof and drainage technology.Combining with the traffic technology project of Jiangxi province"Investigation on Site Observation and the Preventing and Controlling Technologies of the Tunnel Seepage Diseases"and taking the newly-built tunnel in Jing Wu Huang (Chang ) highway project as a concrete example , we investigate the excavation structure plane of surrounding rock according to the synthesis of the engineering geological circumstances of the new tunnel. We analyze the crack distribution pattern and superior structure faces of surrounding rock by using DIPS software. We also calculate the 3D permeability tensor of the surrounding rock, and discuss several mathematical models and basic equations for the crack rock. We also analyze the basic theoretical foundation by applying the Midas/GTS software to analysis of underground seepage and then apply this software to carry out a numerical analysis for the tunnel excavation. We also select a section of the newly-built tunnel in YK12+450, and establish a model in view of the site test parameter. We precede the analysis of tunnel excavation under the interaction of the seepage field. Finally, through the comparison with the change of the underground seepage field and the stress field before and after the excavation, we draw some conclusions that will be of great benefit to the engineering practice. The thesis investigates the tunnel water seepage at different stages of tunnel construction, and analyzes the reasons for tunnel water seepage according to the constructing perspective and theory. The investigation results show that the main positions of tunnel seepage water lie in the tunnel frontier wall and arch lining, which is consistent with the statistical results simulated by the Midas/GTS software to the surrounding rock structural plane. Finally, we makes some reflections on the charcteristics of the newly-built tunnel in Jing Wu Huang (Chang ) highway project and obtains some major prevention points on the design for waterproof and drainage of tunnel construction. The thesis suggests the feasible application of Midas/GTS software to the simulation analysis on stress field and seepage field of the underground tunnel project.
