Three-tower structure, which is widely used in recent years,is a kind of complicated tall structures. It contends three independent towers and a base which connects the towers. It is flexible to arrange the structures and it suits the economic development. Theories and design methods of three-tower structure have been researched by some researchers. But the structure is complex. Up to now, performance of the structure under seismic action is not well know. The following work has been down in this thesis.First of all, the basic analytical methods of structure with three towers were introduced and the properties of vibration mode of symmetrical structure with three towers were discussed. The properties of nine kind of basic vibration mode of symmetrical structure with three towers and the influence in structure were analyzed.Then, the seismic responses which include the vibration characteristics of the structure such as vibration mode, period and the structural seismic response effects which contain the floor seismic force and displacement between symmetrical structure with three towers and single-tower structure or structure with two towers were compared. The influence of seismic response on the tower spacing, base stiffness of the structural arrangement on symmetrical structure with three towers was analyzed. The structure be changed to unsymmetrical structure with three towers when changed the collocation , the highness and the type of the towers. There were some different seismic reactions between all the three kind of unsymmetrical three-towers structure with corresponding symmetrical three-tower structure, and between the unsymmetrical three-tower structure with the single-tower structure which were disjoined from the unsymmetrical three-towers structure. And these differences were discussed. The seismic responses of unsymmetrical structure with three towers were analyzed.At last, an engineering example of tall structure with six towers was discussed. By comparing the seismic reactions between the whole structure with the single-tower structure which were disjoined from the whole structure, we can make sure if the theory about the structure with three towers in this thesis can be extended to the structure with more towers.In sum, the main seismic response including the vibration mode , period , seismic force and displacement of symmetrical three-towers structure and unsymmetrical three-towers structure have been discussed in this thesis. farther research about structure with three towers are needed in many aspect. |
