Abstract/Summary:
In modern electric power system, the stand-alone capacity has become bigger and bigger, and large-scale generators play an important part in electic power production. Because of the high cost and complex structure of the large-scale generators, once they were broken down, they need a long time to mend, and it will cause inconvenience to people's life and production. Thus, the generators need high reliability. The generator excitation system supplies the excitation current for the generator, while the generator excitation monitoring system plays an important part in the generator excitation system's stable running and malfuntion prevention. So, improving the reliability of generator exitation monitoring system has a realistic meaning.After a detailed analysis of development tide and applicaton background of generator exitation monitoring system, a kind of embedded generator exitation monitoring system is designed. According to the demand that the generator exitation monitoring system should have high stability and real-time need, a DSP+ARM platform is used for adapting to the developing requirement of the modern electric power system. The entire system is made up of data collecting module and data transmitting module. DSP(TMS320C6713) is used to acquire and process data. ARM is used to save and transmitting data. Firstly, this thesis describes the entire construct, then it introduces the hardware frame and software design of the two modules in different chapters. It especially introduces how to install embeded Linux and build embeded Linux development environment. Secondly, it discusses software design of data transmitting module based on embedded Linux, then briefly describes the operating procedure of how to implement the function of data transmitting in embedded Linux operating system. At last it sums up and analyses the system's performance and experimental results.This system can transmit the data which reflect the condition of generator exitation system to the main station through Ethernet in real time. Meantime, it can judge and record the fault information which is the evidence for generator exitation system fault analysis and upload the recorded data to the main station.This system has come into use. It has the virtue of high precision, good real-time performance, abundant functions, etc. It has supplied much convenience for the spot experiment and gotten significant economical benefit. Especially in fault situation, it can upload the fault recorded data in real time. In a word, it not only has the best achievement of monitoring and adjusting to guarantee the generator's stability, but also avoid the loss caused by the generator's unexpected malfunction.
