In our country, the concrete face rock-fill dam is a new dam type developed in recently thirty years, which has such virtues as strong adaptability, low cost, and high security etc. Because of these, it is widely used and very popular among various countries with wonderful application foreground.The concrete faceplate and plinth upstream are key areas of water retaining and seepage prevention. The anti seepage effectiveness of face affects the imperious effect and the stability of the dam. The construction of concrete face is in high slope, thus it leads to many problems, such as the large length of pouring cube, the difficulty of making and installation of water stop and crack control of face, as well as the loss of water and cementing material and discretion of aggregate in long convey process in traditional chute. As traditional construction experience fails to solve these problems, the research of construction technology of concrete face is very important.In the construction process of face concrete on Gu Dong Kou dam, it is optimized with comparative analysis method based on actual situation of the project and former experience, thus some problems in traditional construction method have been solved out successfully.Based on design code of concrete face rockfill dam, construction code and former practical experience, the construction technology of Gu Dong Kou concrete face rockfill dam is researched, and leads to such results:â‘ Optimization of making and installation process of no-track shuttering and side form machines;â‘¡Optimization of making and installation process of"W"shape copper sealsâ‘¢Optimization of concrete mix proportion of the face concrete to enhance the ability of anti seepage, antifreeze and the anti crack;â‘£Method of prevention and treatment for cracks with good effects, which is approached by analyzing the reason for shrinkage crack of concrete face. Thus provides a new method for the design and construction of face concrete.
