This dissertation aims at a modified Macpherson suspension in practical project, uses Multi-Body System Dynamics theories and software. From the view of optimization suspension system type in develop a new car, carrying kinematics and dynamics simulation on the suspension system, studying the relationship between suspension system and vehicle performance.In this paper, it takes analysis combining mathematic model and virtual prototyping model, theoretic analyzing and car experiments. To analyze the relationship between the structure of this suspension and characteristic of stiffness and damper. Then modelings with multi-body dynamics software ADAMS, so that the analyzing results should be more accurate with the experiment checked.There is an improving method proposed for the suspension after theoretical analyse, it's proved that the ride comfort and whole performance of vehicle can be improved efficiently through the vehicle test. Then it obtains the exactly parameters and optimization results by simulation and analyzing with ADAMS based on virtual prototyping technology.The method provided by this paper has a good changeability and wide adaptation, and can be used in products development and performance improvement effectively, to save the time and cost during the products research and development. Meanwhile, this paper provides study on specific suspension; it gives contribution to the development of self-owned brand car and has an important meaning in engineering.
