The virtual prototype of the planetary gear drive system which is the output mechanism of the mine reducer, is built with 3D solid modeling software Pro/Engineer. There are interfaces among Pro/ENGINEER, dynamical and simulative analyzing software ADAMS and finite element analyzing software ANSYS. Then the virtual prototype model is imported into ADAMS, and the simulation model is finished building. The contact forces can be solved, and the structures are validated be reasonable. After importing the planet carrier of the planetary gear drive system into ANSYS, the finite element analyzing model is established. The statics of structures is analyzed on the model, and the nephograms of the stress distribution and displacement distribution are acquired. The structural design is shown to be rational and accurate.
