Research On Explosion-proof Intelligent Soft Starter Used For Coal Mine

Nowadays, induction motors are used widely under the mining as drive devices. It is such a problem that how to make motors start steadily. There are some soft starter for AC motors, which can improve the performance of the process of starting using widely in the field of motors drive. Being aimed at the explosive-proof demand of mining for medial and low voltage soft starter, a new kind of design of explosive-proof intelligent soft starter used for mining is proposed, it has been validated by Matlab simulation.Firstly, this paper mainly introduces the algorithms of a new kind of start mode called torque slope and current limited start mode for constant load and pump load. Secondly, being aimed at the disadvantages, a new kind of design of control circuit is proposed, whose core is 87C196MC. There are some measurements are taken in software and hardware for anti-interference. In addition, the design of the software has been introduced in detail, especially for the software of torque slope and current limited start mode.At last, the algorithms of torque slope and current limited start mode have been simulated by Matlab. The waves of start current and start torque between direct start and soft start have been compared, the conclusion has been made and illustrates the algorithms feasible.
