Hemispherical Resonator Gyro (HRG) is rotation-sensing instrument and has a few specific reliability and longevity of service. Comparatively new type feature such as high precision, solid high. Compared with traditional mechanical and optic gyros, HRG has such advantages as no high speed circumvolving or moving parts in structure, no warm-up time and short start-up time, wide signal band in frequency, low excursion noises, great endurance in over loading, nuclear radiation and short time power off, small bulk, light weight, low power cost and long life etc. The vibration of hemispherical shells is the important department of HRG, the precision of HRG is depended on the physical property of hemispherical.Using the analytic semi-analytic and Software Emulation three method, this paper discusses natural vibration and wave vibration of hemispherical resonator of hemispherical shell resonator (HRG). Firstly, we discusses the vibration of hemispherical shells, simplify the Hemispherical is already fixed and closed. according the moving force on the surface of spherical shells, a conclusion is made that the vibration is wave. Based on the theories of elastic thin shells, natural frequencies, vibration modals and response are calculated. and then we calculate the mathematical equation of moving Hemispherical. Then using the Ansys software analyze the vibration of hemispherical shells, by the conclusion of analysis give the design of suitable parameter. At last, the paper is derived the method of semi-analytic spherical elements, the method could reduce the calculation. Then we made the method into a set of program to the convenience.
