This paper is the research of an air suspension oil-transporting vehicle with lifting axle, which has a single front axle, two rear air suspensions axles, and one of the two rear axles is a lifting axle. The oil-transporting vehicle has two working states: fully loaded and empty loaded. When vehicle is running in the empty loaded state, lifting axle is float and off ground, reducing the resistance of rolling friction and making the turning movement stable, so it can save oil, reduce tyres' wear, prolong service life and save operational cost; when the vehicle is fully loaded, lifting axle falls, which can raise vehicle bearing capacity efficiently, satisfy the assigned axle load that regulations stipulated reasonably, and ensure vehicle, road and bridge's safety.The air suspension system with lifting axle improved service and the overall performance of vehicles, makes a reasonable load distribution between axles while raising the bearing capacity of the vehicle, it can also guarantee the safety of transportation, reduce oil consumption, safe energy resources, gain better economic benefits and satisfying traffic regulations.This research has established a simple three-dimensional model of a vehicle by UG, including driver's cab, frame and front axle, lifting axle and drive axle, checked matching space. Then using ADAMS to establish the model of the air suspension of middle and rear axles, steering system, power assembly system, tyre and road surface, after that, it has established the vehicle model.This paper has done the simulation analysis and appraisement of ride comfort of the vehicle with leaf spring and air suspension separately, the result showed that ride comfort of the vehicle with air suspension is better than the vehicle with leaf spring, and it has proved that it was feasible and senseful to match air suspension on oil-transporting vehicle.
