Since the 21st century, the study of high-performance ships has become more and more popular. However, The study of Trimaran mainly concentrates on slender Trimaran (high-speed Trimaran) and TRISWACH - Trimaran Small Waterplane Area Centre Hull. While in the recent two years, QinetiQ Corporation and OTG Corporation designed a new kind of Trimaran (Tri/SWATH) in order to solve the problem of oil-field production and maintenance under the bad environment of the North Sea, Europe . Being inspired by this new type of ship and based on past SWATH experience, this paper designs part of Tri/SWATH model (including the main deck, cross-structure and three sidehulls). Then, it is proposed that the method solves Tri/SWATH's equations of motion response, and lateral motion response statistic referring to the mature theory of SWATH's motion response analysis. After that, it estimates the Tri/SWATH's transverse wave design loads; and preliminarily designs the structure of part of Tri/SWATH according to "RULES OF CONSTRUCTION AND CLASSIFICATION OF SEA-GOING HIGH SPEED CRAFT", 2005, CCS. Finally, by using ANSYS software establishes the part model of Tri/SWATH, imposes lateral loads and boundary conditions, and carries out the drawings of the Structural distortion and Stress distribution.
