With the development of economy, the most stubborn obstacle turns out to be the abnormal limit of urban constructional lands as well as the insufficiency of construction funds, with respect to the improvement of resident situation and development of housing conditions. Given the national rigid restriction on the total floors and height of masonry structure, frame construction system is adopted for 8-18 floors urban architectures, which leads to the increasing of total cost. Therefore, reinforced masonry shear wall is primarily recommended by Ministry of Construction, and becomes new style of high-rise building. This thesis discusses reinforced masonry shear wall in forms of vertically and horizontally reinforced concrete-hollow-block masonry with concrete core column, marking a new kind of construction system. Concrete block indicates the trend of wall reformation and reinforced masonry has been verified in seismic regions, which make the intensive research as well as broad application significant. As the similar mechanical characteristic compared to prefabricated integral concrete construction, subprogram SATWE in PKPM is used for stress analysis, facing the absence of adaptive software. With the necessary adjustment of parameters, 190mm-thick wall is conducted as C10~C20 cast-in-situ concrete wall. The stress dada could be utilized in sequent reinforcement computation, while floor displacement and angles under horizontal load could underline the displacement checking. After transforming the output files to EXCEL documents, reinforcement computation program for wall sections and tie beams is formulated, resulting in the simplification of computation.Based on concrete instance, this thesis completes the design and application of reinforced masonry shear wall. Practice marks that the adoption of this new technique brings both economic and social benefits obviously. Technical difficulties will be overcame by virtue of intensive research and piling experiences. Therefore, its advantages in market performance will be more outstanding, with the large scale application on the corner.
