Steel-concrete composite beam is a kind of flexural member composed by concrete slab and steel beam via shear connectors. Because composite beams have good behaviors, so they are widely used in architecture fields. Slip property is an important factor need to be considered in composite beams design, particularly in nowadays, composite beams with partial shear connection are considered to be more economical and reasonable structure forms, however, which will cause slip effect more significant. So slip effect of the simply supported composite beams, especially composite beams with partial shear connection will be studied in this paper.Firstly, introduce the development of composite beams, research situation of slip effect and composite beams with partial shear connection.Analyze slip effect of simply supported composite beams theoretically. Derive slip equation and slip strain equation under positive and negative bending moment respectively. From them get slip and slip strain distribution along the beam-span; relationship between slip, slip strain and shear connection. Basing on the slip strain equation, deduce expressions of additional deflection and additional bending moment caused by slip, so can get slip effect on deflection and bearing capacity quantificationally.A numerical study on slip effect of simply supported composite beams under positive and negative bending moment is conducted by means of finite element program of ANSYS based on the feasibility verification of ANSYS. The research contents include: slip distribution rules; slip effect on deflection in service stage and ultimate bearing capacity; relationship between slip effect and shear connection, lognitudinal percentage of reinforcement and working behavior of composite beams with partial shear connection under negative bending moment.
