In this paper, with the range of city gas applications enlarging and gas consumption increasing, and the transient flow in city gas network, it has very factual meaning to open out the calculation programmer to simulate the unsteadied work situation of city gas network for the gas network running situation analysis and the gas network optimized design.In this paper, it sets up the actual transient flow model reflecting the gas flow in city gas network, established on the theoretic analysis of steady and transient model with the speciality of city gas network. the model consists of the equation of continuity, momentum equation, the equation of energy and the state equation that can be best reflect the real state of natural gas, and it analyses the steady and transient flow in this paper.For steady flow of the isothermal network, the solution of the network adjustment of errors is gained by nodal approach. For non-isothermal network, the analysis is four-order Runge-Kutta. For transient flow of the gas network, it emphasized discusses mathematical calculate methods of implicit central finite difference scheme and explicit characteristic different scheme. It is going deep into research the explicit characteristic different scheme in the paper, and uses explicit characteristic different scheme to simulate the isothermal transient flow.Finally, I design a mathematical calculation programmer to simulate isothermal transient gas pipeline with visual C++ program, and to simulate the part high-press gas network, and find the result can be reflect the flow rule in the pipeline. It proves the feasibility of the model and the methods.
