Pile foundation is a kind of old-line type of deep-foundation, it has the advantages of specific path of load-transfer, safety, economy and convenience compared to other types of foundation.With the far-flung application of pile-foundation in civil engineering field, the research for the theory of pile and soil perfect is increasing. We simulate approximately the action of soil by means of soil spring, reckoning without the interaction of pile and soil in the design of pile-foundation.The method was conservative to design. There is no doubt, it was feasible when the research of soil and mechanics was not perfect. Now, as the knowledge of soil was acquainted progressively, and mechanical model, finite-element technology was perfected increasingly, the interaction of pile and soil should be token into account in the designing work the interaction of pile and soil, accordingly, it could be grasped clearer which was the work state of the underground pile group, and the length of pile could be shorten in designing to get purpose of safety and economy.First of all, this thesis discussed the elastic theory of one pile, two piles, and pile group, and then, the theory of the finite equal element with eight nodes was expatiated. According to the theory, the method which simulated the active soil pressure by using the form of temperature strains and the contact element was deduced. By giving a example that a rigid basement with night piles, feasibility of it was validated. Finally, With method of contact element, A part of the pile group basement under the primary tower of SuTong Bridge was analyzed and a valid result was deduced, thereby, the first step of exploring the way solving the question of the interaction of pile and soil was walked out.The central work of this thesis is:(1) Expatiated on the elastic theory of piles(2) Expatiated on the theory of finite equal element with eight nodes.(3) Deduced the method which simulated the active soil pressure by using the form of temperature strains and the contact element, and the feasibility of which was validated.(4) Analyzed a part of the pile group basement under the primary tower of SuTong Bridge by using the way that was introduced in the context.
