It is very important for the judgment of coal combustion characteristic, guiding coal-fire, the selection of optimal mixing, blend ration of coal-matching and so on to the study of coal combustion indices.The investigation of coal blending ratio and pyrogenation and combustion of mixed-coal is summarized in the thesis. Using the coal analysis instrument of State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, industry analysis, elemental composition and grindablity and combustion characteristics experiments for Zhanjiang burning coal are done, the comprehensive data for coal is obtained, and the data provide an experimental basis for the optimal operation of mill.The regular combustion characteristic equation and the combustion indices are evaluated theoretically, and a new combustion characteristic equation according to the kinetics equation based on Kooij law is developed. It shows that the new equation is a general expression of the regular equation. The combustion characteristic can be determined correctly by the regular equation and its indices only before the maximum combustion rate, while by the new equation and its indices in the whole stage.It is obtained that the new combustion indices have more advantage over regular combustion indices and the factorΦ( the ratio between square of temperate and heating rate multiplying the ratio between combustion acceleration and combustion rate ) and the temperature have a linearity in the main combustion section. A new method representing temperature of the kindling point based on thermal balance is suggested.Compared with the regular combustion indices, Zhanjiang Power plant's burning-coals are reappraised for reference to the use of Zhangjian coals with the new combustion indices.
