With the rapid development of the computer technology, the mathematical model is adopted more and more when it comes to the sediment study in the river. The research region now has expanded from one-dimension research to two-dimension, even three-dimension research. The water and sediment mathematical model has become an important method of studying the movement law of water & sediment and evolution process in the river. At the same time, as the development of national economy, waterpower resource has been exploited and utilized further. Higher demand about the water and sediment mathematical model has been claimed, so as to serve the production practice preferably. The research in this paper focuses on establishing two-dimension water and sediment mathematical model and calculating stability of the riverside in order to help well engineering decision-making and production.This paper includes 6 chapters, and the details are as follows:The research present of numerical simulation methods of water & sediment, mathematical model and riverside steady is introduced systemically , subsequently , the main job of this paper is presented as to the practicality need of water conservancy engineering in chapter 1 introduction .The basic theories of water & sediment mathematical model are introduced in chapter 2. This chapter includes three parts : firstly , how to establish and disperse two-dimension flow equation; secondly , some related parameters and the stability conditions of riverbed are discussed by establishing sediment control equation; lastly , simulation method of the model is put forward . Because the riverbed distortion is simulated by adopting the method of holding sediment in balance, the basic equations which are established for two-dimension water & sediment mathematical model include stream equation, riverbed distortion equation and the transformation equation of riverbed sediment. simultaneity, the ceaseless sediment exchange course between the riverbed and stream is reasonably considered in the last equation.The main content of chapter 3 is introduction of numerical calculation methods. Hydro-numerical calculation is made in discrete computing grid. so, making suitable grid is the key to acquire accurate calculation results. A suitable grid should be able to express the condition of solid boundary fully and truly, good congregate, control the computing load better, and make the error of results is reasonable , at the same time , reflect the liquid moving course factually. Triangle dissection problem of point collection V in a plane random region is researched and the method of dispersing equation is discussed in this paper.In chapter 4, riverbank stability model is established. The research of riverside stability is an important offset of river evolvement theory. In the analysis of plane dilapidation stability, we don't think the toe of bank is the only dilapidation critical surface. So the model calculates safety factor of critical dilapidation surface under different height and takes the place which minimum safety factor appears as the most dangerous position.The chapter 5 refers the validation and application of mathematical model. The model is used in the renovation project of Lubao—Huangtang dangerous section belonged to Beijiang levee. In this project, by analyzing the evolvement course of riverbed and measuring the hydrology data, the current model and water & sediment model and riverside steady model is simulation and computed in this method.In chapter 6, the whole work in the paper is summed up and further research work is prospected.
