The acquiring of facade image for 3D modeling is one of the main technology of digital city, and it is also the hotspot in recent years. The speed of the facade images processing and the quality affect the speed of 3D modeling and the quality of models directly. There is theoretical and realistic meaning on the research of facade image. So that how to process the facade images quickly, improve the quality of the images and acquire more valuable information still are worthy of being studied. The paper started with the above-mentioned and discussed the data acquiring of facade image, the quality controlling and 3D modeling. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1,In order to ensure the precision and the speed of processing the facade images, and improve the quality of the images, we should choose the mode, the distance, the angle and the time of the photography when collecting the facade images outdoors;2,The paper introduced the theory that using the parallels in facade images and the Rotation Axiom Of The Perspective to rectify the images quickly, then discusses the technology of vanishing-point detection;3,The paper advanced two methods for measurement of the facade dimensions based on the "parallel image" and the parallelogram in facade;4,Based on the theories above-mentioned, with the Laser-scanning data or measurements we acquired the height of the facade and the other information, and do some precision-analysis experiments;5,Experiments of low-altitude Photogrammetry would be done, then we acquired DEM and DOM by data processing indoor, finally the experiments of 3D modeling would be done with the Laser-Scanning Data and facade images of the building.For the contents of above discussion, some experiments and analysis have been done in the paper, and it proved that some conclusions are right and useful.
