The Study On Technology Of Using Reinforced Concrete Yoke To Strengthen Arch Bridge

At present the research and application of bridge strengthening technique are developed rapidly within the worldwide range. However, because of the diversification of the bridge-type and complexity of the damages, the field of bridge-strengthening is not consummate. All sorts of bridge-strengthening methods have both advantages and disadvantages. The diversity of those methods administers to standardize it.This paper focuses on the arch bridge strengthening methods - the technique of using reinforced concrete yoke to strengthen arch bridge. Five parts constitute the thesis. Chapter 1 introduces briefly the development of Chinese traffic and presents the study content of this paper. Chapter 2 sums up the main methods of bridge strengthening in use now and achievement of the restricted concrete. Chapter 3 analyses detailedly the mechanism of the technique of using reinforced concrete yoke to strengthen arch bridge. Chapter 4 describes mainly the model experiment and its data analysis. Finally, chapter 5 discusses the design principles, construction point and examples of using the technique.
