Space is the foundation of all architecture which is driven by the inhabitant's need for space. It is based on spatial derivation, development and significance that any architecture study can be undertaken. While practicing any living activities, people's feeling of the construction where he lives is just determined by the scale of the space. The relationship between the spatial scale and people, which determines the user's physiology and the psychological feeling, is the key to weigh an architectural design a success or failure. This thesis focuses on the relationship between space and its users and how to make full use of the limited space as well as to satisfy people's physiology and the psychological needs through reasonable scale assurance. Through researching and summarizing some home and foreign theories and books on spatial scale, human's scale and their relationship, combined with the present situation and the probable problems in the future, influenced by the tendencies such as energy saving, space saving, ecology protection and so forth, this thesis proposes this concept"comfortable- fitting space". It is one kind conforms to the human body criterion to be able to bring the most comfortable behavior and the psychological experience space to the person. Hope through its proposing with the discussion, it can serve as a theory support to prove how the architectural design can serve the human best to designs a more pleasant space. This paper mainly divides into two parts: based on theory, the first part is mainly to research into and summarize the space, the spatial scale, person's scale and their relationship; in the second part, based on the theoretical study and summary, the author proposed his own viewpoint to explore how to undertake its practical application.
