The detection, location, and predictable problem of concrete structural damage have been the important subject of concrete structural damage engineering research in recent years. The damage identification method is polytechnic method constructed on the damage theory, sensor technology, signal analysis, computer science and artificial networks. Relative to the traditional technology of concrete structural damage identification, this paper mainly studies the method based on the combination of the static modal analysis and artificial: networks. BP Neural Network (NN),Expert System(ES) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) are two important branches of Artificial Intelligence. From the point of the combination of both Neural Network and Genetic Algorithm, to research the intelligent identification technology for concrete structures is conducive to the practical application of engineering. With the background of intelligent structure's damage identification, the contemporary status and trend on the research of intelligent structure's damage identification are dissertated, and furthermore the possible methods on how to identify the structure's damage are researched with the combination of Neural Network,Expert System and Genetic Algorithm.The main contents are following:(1) It establishes damage model concrete structure constitutive relation. To establish scientific concrete structure three-dimensional damage model is the basic work for intelligent monitoring and fault diagnosis degree evaluation of concrete structure. It numerically analyzes damage crack of concrete structure. Most of concrete structure damage starts from crack, so we must pay attention to the analysis and solution of the concrete crack of concrete structure.(2) It establishes intelligent monitoring and fault diagnosis system with Back Propagation Neural Network, Expert System, and Genetic Algorithm combined together.(3) It use Visual C++6.0 to write concrete structure fault diagnosis program for concrete structure. It uses MATLAB-NN toolbox to carry out Simulation experiment, and analyze the Simulation resultsNeural network expert system is designed based on neural network high identification ability and theory research. It includes expression, acquirement and reasoning of knowledge. The experiment shows that extensive mapping capacity of NN and rapid global convergence of Genetic Algorithm can be obtained at the same time by combining Genetic Algorithm and Neural Network in some certain ways, which are researched in the thesis. And this method of combination is a relatively effective way to solve the problem of concrete structural damage identificationApplicative Research results demonstrate that : The system of concrete structural damage identification based on the combination of BP Neural Network and Genetic Algorithm has acquired relatively high accuracy and rapid convergence. As concerned as the ban with a single damage, the beam with one, two and three damages, the system works comparatively effective. Meanwhile, the research mentioned above also shows that method based on the combination of Neural Network and Genetic Algorithm ,which is used to identify the concrete structural damage damage, is valuable and worthy of further concern.
